To coincide with Printed Matter’s 2010 New York Art Book Fair, 2THEWALLS presents DOMAIN, the first in a series of limited-run, one-off publications. As an exploration of the idea of desktop- and computer-as-studio, DOMAIN gathers workspace images from nine artists who use digital production methods as a regular part of their practice. DOMAIN features contributions from Kari Altmann, Travess Smalley, Nik Kosmas/AIDS-3D, Patrick Dyer, Artie Vierkant, Michelle Ceja, Ben Schumacher, Jon Rafman, and Borna Sammak. DOMAIN will be copied in limited-edition runs of ten, with each successive run utilizing the previous as its parent, reflecting the image degradation of the JPEG format. Each is hand-numbered and Xeroxed on 8.5”x11” copy stock. DOMAIN will be available from November 5-7 at MoMA PS1, through the generosity of PIN-UP magazine.
